GameOva Skip isn't just bringing back a dance—he's reclaiming a piece of New Orleans history. Before viral trends and social media challenges, the Beenie Weenie was the move at every block party, DJ event, and neighborhood gathering in the early '90s Bounce Era.
A graduate of St. Augustine High School and mentored by Big Choo as a member of the GameOva Boyz, Skip rose through New Orleans' Bounce scene with raw talent and undeniable stage presence. His journey took him to national platforms including So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Dancing With Myself.
Beyond the stage, Skip coaches football at George Washington Carver High School—staying connected to the next generation while living the values of discipline, consistency, and community.
"In the early '90s, everybody was hittin' the Beenie Weenie. This song represents our culture because the Beenie Weenie was the first popular dance move in New Orleans. It's a move everybody can do—from 3 to 99 years old."
